I have weighed ian the past two days and he is officially over 13 pounds. One day he was 13.4 and then 13.6. Wow. I mean I know he is supposed to grow and get bigger, but it just seems crazy that he has already gained 5 pounds since birth.
In other news, I think we have finally reached the happy stage of bathtime. He hasn't had an unpleasant experience in quite some time now, and I'm super glad. Now he gets a bit giddy when I place him in the tub and get his shark hand puppet washcloth out to help bathe him.
The best news of all? Last night he slept the longest on record. Ladies and gentleman: ian slept for a total of 8 hours non-stop. Amazing. Granted I was very grateful to feed him after he awoke--sometimes going so long without nursing is a bit painful on my end. Overall though it was a great night as I haven't had 8 hours of continuous sleep in more than 3 months. This is bliss.
