Before leaving for Seattle:Apartment

Maia wasn't sure if they would be gone for the day or for the weekend. She wasn't worried they were going to Seattle so if she needed something she could pick it up at Diana's. She chewed on her fingernail for a moment and waited for Tonks to come. She couldn't help but feel a little tingle inside of excitement, being up in the air with Tonks again, it pushed away the feeling of what was going to happen once they got there.

Maia frowned slightly, going to see her mom and dad was never an easy thing for her. It was the only time in her life that she ever felt truly vulnerable. She wondered if the golden rose Tonks had put on the tombstone was still there. She didn't think magic faded like that but she wasn't totally sure.

She sat down on the couch, pulled open the scrapbook that held photographs of her mom and dad, headlines about the missing eight year old girl who vanished from the woods during a family picnic. She swallowed hard, her fingers touched gently over her mothers face, she wanted Rose to have met them. Seen what they were like. She hadn't had a chance to ask the Doctor if they could go back, to the area she disappeared. She planned on reassuring him that she wouldn't speak to them, she just wanted to see them, just from a distance. Hear her mother's voice tell her to be careful and not wander off to far. Hear herself call back that she promised and her father tell her to be back soon.

She swallowed hard and closed the book, she gave it a soft smile and waited. She had a little golden heart pendent on a fine gold chain that she laced over and over again in her fingers. She was going to leave it there, with Tonks' heart, inside was a picture of Maia and Rose.
