Maia sat on the couch where Rose had been just an hour before. She hadn't moved from the spot really, except to order dinner to be delivered around the proper time for tea.
Rose said they would be back Maia chewed on her thumb nail, she hated being left behind, not knowing what was going on up there. Not knowing if Rose would be gone for months and then back like she had just gone to the store. She didn't like to think about the time travel part of it, it messed with her head and left it a bit achy.
Maia looked at Simon and gave him a small smile. "She'll be back in time for dinner." Maia said as she watched the old fish swim around his tank. He was close to seven years old now and she was very glad he was still alive.
