"Astrologers call the period between ages twenty-eight and thirty "Saturn Return." That's because it's the first time the planet Saturn completes its cycle through your birth chart and returns to the spot it occupied when you were born. Internationally respected astrologer Rob Hand calls Saturn Return "one of the most important times in your life. . . a time of endings and new beginnings.""
huh. this seems to explain a lot. a friend of mine recently shared this little tidbit of zodiacal phenomenon with me. i hadn't heard of it until now, so i just had to do a little research. basically you go through a really intense introspective phase and begin to seriously examine your life: where you've been, where you are now and what direction you're heading. sounds like a very confusing, head-spinning experience. i can't imagine it right now. i feel like i've already been going through this over the last 15 months and don't have any desire to go through something like it again. actually, i've been going through it all of my adult life! i go through so many changes and phases...perhaps that will start to slow down after my "saturn return". apparently some people do go through it earlier, and others a little later. seems like in life, you can't just BE. something always has to come and kick you right out of your comfort zone. as soon as you figure something out, another surprise pops up and takes your mind (or body) for a little adventure.
OK, this is freaky. i'm listening to my ususal yahoo music, and as soon as i finished writing this i went to fill in what music i'm listening to, and i check yahoo and sure enough, it's fucking Return Of Saturn by No Doubt. WTF - life is soooooo fucking bizarre.
