The Post-Halloween "I should be in bed" entry

... but that's hardly news.

Halloween was pretty fun. I'll admit it could have been better (could have been at Youma, or just not been hungry and bitchy, or not had the ruby slippers literally tear up my toe) but it was still great dressing up and hanging out with the extended Sarnia crew  in the village. I have some photos, but will only post if anyone actually voices a desire to see 'em. I figured that I did a really good job with the Dorothy costume, even if it's not the most flattering thing I've ever worn. That, combined with my assumption that although I don't resemble Judy Garland, the costume is freaking ICONIC meant that I was quite caught off-guard when I was called Miss Muffett, Alice, Little Bo Peep, Annie, Cinderella, and Pippi Longstocking. Seriously. *facepalm*

Saturday I went out to Etobicoke for a small birthday party with York peeps. More good times, went cosmic bowling (and I didn't lose the first game!), and i got back downtown early enough to hit up the Wreck Room with mottaboy66  and company. Dan had given me the heads-up that it was a costume night so I whipped in Triana. The club was fun, and I was surprised to run into several con-people there such as Derwin, Liana K, and my stalker from AN '05.

Halloween makes me wish I had more cons/cosplay opportunities. I had been planning to go to both Dot Con and DTAC, but then the first was moved to far-freaking-away and I was informed the latter is on a sunday, and thus I can't go. *le sigh*
I've decided I'm willing to make the trek out to Markham for dot con on the saturday... anyone else going to be going? I want Triana pictures and you may never get the chance to see this much Jen-midriff again! Since I missed Con no Baka, I'd like to get the chance to see an event go up in smoke to boot ^_^
