I might be am too tired to be doing this now, but I'll probably be running around with other stuff for the rest of the week, so here goes.
So even though this was my 4th time attending Fan Ex/CNAnime, it feels like the first time I was really involved. Weird. Lots of the weekend was typical con stuff; getting there later than planned because of makeup and costume issues, plans going awry because of domino-effect lateness, buying different items than I had planned (but still staying underbudget for the weekend!), just sitting and chatting with people. Got 11 mosquito bites during Midna photos with
writerz_bloc (totally worth it! *scratch scratch*). Spent several hours giving a hand at the Artist Alley; which, all things considered, I kind of enjoyed. Amanda, if similar assistance is required in the future, I'm willing to avail myself. I also got a small gift for
urate during my shopping time, since I know she wanted to be there this year. Then it was some 5-6 hours in the greenroom being a first-time den mom. I don't think I was doing a very good job, but I must have been doing something right because I ended up with 2 dens officially and another 2.5 dens unofficially under my care. Was nice to be helping out, but next time I'm going to be spending that long in an uncomfortable costume in a greenroom you can bet I'll be competing. Sunday I fit in a whole weekend worth of sitting around doing nothing and chatting, which is really what Hobbystar events are actually about, right? It was good to see so many of you on my f-list there! The rest of you... next year, right? Right?? I started my Sandman collection on Saturday. It's 2 volumes down. Lots to go. :( I hope I have the opportunity for more Goldeen photos, since I pretty much just got some cute snapshots thanks to Dan, but I want some more nice ones and all my goofy fishy-face shots are very out of focus. Boo.
"My photos" mostly taken by Dan. Very random smattering of everything in there. Mostly Star Wars though.
