Whoa...

Ever wake up one morning and take a breath, and remember how it feels to just be joyful?

This past week has been pretty joyful for me. I'm quite amazed/thankful for the way that life has been changing/showing.

I started my stint as the courier for Kinko's. It's such a refreshing change to the everyday monotony that was working in the center behind the counter. I really love the fact that I am able to actually go outside and breathe the air! No longer am I being taunted through the windows that give light to the main floor of the center. It's a beautiful feeling to actually feel the sunlight on my skin as I walk around through the city. It has been quite the glorious transition. There have been times, as I'm driving from one side of sacramento, to the other side of elk grove, where I look outside of the window at the side of the highway, and I realize that the outdoors is so wonderful! I can't imagine myself being stuck inside of an office sitting in a cubicle all day. That would be such a sad time for me.

The other cool thing about being able to leave the center is that I'm able to visit some other kinko's stores. It's weird to see how the same positions are filled with different personalities as the ones that I work with. I like to observe the feelings of the stores that I go into, we're all completely different. Different cities have different kinds of customers and that gives a completely different personality to each store. I like being able to go out and make conversations with different people within the company. It's kinda cool to know that I'm working with a bunch of people who have the same philosophy towards working. It actually makes me wanna be different when I'm on the floor, and perhaps gives me a better appreciation for the customer service positions that we're in.

This weekend was the first one that I was completely free for in about 3 years. Thanks to the courier position, I'm now a 9-5er, monday through friday. I miss being able to handle certain types of business during the day, but it's kinda cool to have saturday and sunday free. Yesterday was pretty weird, I sat in my living room and wondered what people did when they didn't have to work on the weekend. I felt like there was too much in terms of possibilities. It was easy when I had nothing to do but work. That gave some filling to my weekends. I went to the pancake breakfast in south davis, and it was a lovely way to begin a weekend. I love spending time with the people in my fellowship. There are so many awesome personalities there. I feel blessed a lot, just to sit and watch them/interact with them outside of the fellowship meeting nights.

After the breakfast, I made a crazy move and asked Pat to hang out with me. (it's pretty hard to find some hangout partners these days, as everyone is concerned with finals coming up next week). Pat made some egg stew (which is freakin delicious) and we sat out in the sun @ the greenbelt. I really love just going there and sitting in the sun. It's been something that I haven't done in such a long time. It was awesome to sit and chat with Pat, eating and relaxing under the sun. It was great! Today was good too. I got to go to church, and hangout a bit with Marianne, Katherine, and Jen afterwards. I planned on going to see a movie, but my roomate, ollie came back and we decided to hangout. I came to the conclusion that I'm long overdue to replace my beloved beach cruiser. We thought it would be cool to go out for a bike ride along the greenbelt. I borrowed Justin Hoover's bike, and we set out. Everything was cool until I was faced with certain death! I was about to head into the street and into oncoming traffic, when I realized that Justin's bike is without properly functioning brakes. That was kind of a deal breaker, as I couldn't really slow down on that thing. So unfortunately, Ollie and I didn't get to go very far with the bike riding.

I went and got my bass from the Enderle's house tonight. It's back home, and I can continue with the practicing. I really would like to be good enough to play with the worship team on a consistent basis. That'd be awesome.

I'm looking forward to the next week. I think it's time for me to go to sleep.

BTW, daylight savings is the coolest. I like being outside @ 7pm, chillin...

More goodness to come

I'm out...
