He promised socially orientated policy changes, and he was elected with a landslide. He started implementing the promised changes, giving a bigger share to ( Read more... )

I still cant find a better and quicker info source than Wikipedia, though they really treated you like shit the last time you tried to publish something there. Yes, i never forget injustice...

This guy is interesting with many things, and he's been doing a worldwide awareness campaign, giving lectures and opening ppl's eyes. I was seriously considering to write to him at a time, as he's now in a process of selecting new material for a third book of the series (after Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, and the much greater work The Secret History of the American Empire). My own motives are somewhat different, though...

the problem of modern life is "quicker". my job at work is finding accurate information quickly - I do it everyday, and only about once every three months do I rely on wikipedia, and then only for the references and links...

I still love the blog entry I came across that had some silly epitaph for a minor notable who had died. Something goofy and cliched like
"He lived as he died - bravely" It was attributed to -- WIKIPEDIA!!!

I agree that "quicker" is a modern problem. There's even a new movement called Live Slow:
http://www.slowmovement.com/

But because i'm spending less than 1 hour per day writing personal mails and blogs, i'd like to be able to use this time as best as i can. Which means i'll need to find a nice link with some synthesised info about what i'm talking about, and right now i cant think of anything that suits these criteria better than Wikipedia.

I never drag my primary info about anything from Wikipedia, ie i try not to learn new things from there, but only to synthesise what i've already got on a certain subject.
