Sounds eerily familiar. Remember, you haven't got too many books as long as they're still halfway accessible. It's only when you run out of wall for more shelves so the reserve collection has to live in boxes or stacks of same that you have a problem (which is inaccessible therefore unreadable books). A good friend of mine was left two entire collections in the space of three years by two friends who passed on. They lived in a floor-to-ceiling stack of cardboard boxes in his front hall, blocking it completely so the front door was unusable.
