Well, m'parents are off in the Caribbean (Virgin Gorda, to be precise), or as my dad refers to it, "The Land of Piña Coladas." They're there for a wedding, as well as their 25th wedding anniversary trip (which is appropriate as the girl who is getting married is the daughter of the couple who introduced them to one another in the first place). Meanwhile, I get to stay home, water the veggies, mind the animals, move out of my apartment, take finals, and clear out my dad's Blackberry cache. Oh, joy.
Actually, there's only one final left, so it's not too terrible. Speaking of, I had my final print critique today, and hauled all of my things home afterward. Drunk on artistic glee, I uploaded two prints to dA. Not that I consider myself an artist, because I don't. But I did work hard on these, and it feels nice to post something rather than just lurk about on the site.
Two stages of the same plate. Sadly, my favourite project I did, my Collagraph, is too large for my little scanner and my camera's back on campus. I'll put an image of it up eventually. I even plan to frame the thing!
thestraymutt linked to a bunch of fun new toys which the combined powers of Firefox and del.icio.us have provided us with. I have already downloaded the del.icio.us add-on and the AdBlocker Plus, both of which are proving to be both helpful and deadly in the amount of fun I have playing around with them. Now I have all these empty spots on dA profile pages where ads used to be and all that remains is the text reading "No More Ads: Subscribe to deviantART Now" and I feel a bit like I'm cheating.
I may be home and final-free for a few days, but I still have the on-campus jobs, so to bed I must be heading. However, before I go...
