SPRING BREAK HATH BEGUN! This is happy.
I promised myself a big ole trip to Borders to buy new books, and it has come to pass. I bought Nora Robert's newest Eve Dallas story, Innocent in Death (in hardback even, which shows how much I wanted it), Mary Balogh's newest paperback, Simply Love, Candace Camp's newest, A Dangerous Man, and a two-story compilation from Christine Feehan. I am hoping for much gothicy goodness from that last corner. In fact, I'll probably read the first story tonight. Yaaay.
I took my mom with me, and she volunteered her Border's rewards coupons in addition to mine. With her help, I got two cds for nice, low prices, Piece by Piece by Katie Melua and Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson. I haven't said much about it, but I've realized recently that I do quite like Kelly Clarkson, as a vocalist alone as well as on the merit of the songs she sings. Maybe that makes me more of a girl, I don't know. I did get my embarrassingly expensive make-up in the mail, today, so...yeah. I'm a girl.
Oh! I received a t-shirt from
Scary-Go-Round, but it was not the one I'd ordered. After contacting the artist, I was informed that he'd send me the one I wanted ASAP. So, yeah. Free t-shirt! The one I received is very dignified, bearing the image of a
mustachioed teacup. I quite like him, actually.
Tomorrow I am going to Wal-Mart and pillage their video game aisles so as to fulfill the other half of my Spring Break promise to myself. And if they have a season of The Office there, then I may have to purchase it as well. My family needs to be indoctrinated. They need it.
Sleepy time. Sweet dreams, all!
ps: Because I know everyone was dying to know, the
alien is apparently--and shockingly--actually just a fish. A
guitarfish, to be precise. A green one. I was surprised, too!
