Opinions wanted
Looking for a new recording of Mahler's First.
Choices I'm considering are:
Gergiev/LSO on LSO Live
Janssons/Concertgebouw on Concertgebouw's self release label
Zinman/Tonhalle Zurich on RCA Red Seal
Anyone heard any of these three? Anyone have a preference among them?
The Zinman has the Blumine movement as an extra, the other two don't; but I've already got two of the Zinman Mahler recordings (the third and the fourth) and am looking for different inputs. (BTW, the Zinman fourth is excellent; the Zinman third is less so, but that reaction is due in part to the fact that the third is my least favorite among Mahler's symphonies.)
