I've had the creeping feeling that Atlanta just isn't home for quite some time, and I've expressed it here a few times that I can remember. I've tried to do things to make it such, but...eh

I feel this way often about Denver! I love this place but I keep comparing it to somewhere else. I think I've made it my home though because I know that I used to feel a lot worse than I do now so it's prolly growing on me and starting to feel like home now. I still struggle with the friendship aspects though, I don't really feel like I fit into whatever friend groups I have available to me; again though I'm prolly making comparisons to friend groups I had in other cities. Why don't you move here! I'm a music dork and I've learned a little something of how to deal with Asian quirks :-p
I know my opinion prolly doesn't carry much weight yet but I support you moving back west, it's prolly gotten into your blood which is why you miss it in unique ways. All those little things that feel sorta off, I know what you mean by that and they do add up.
Best of luck either way though, I'm sure you'll do what's best for you in the end :-)
Hah...and what kind of quirks are those, white boy? :-p
And...I don't know. I haven't been in Denver enough to know if I'd meld with the city.
I just realized something...I considered Emory and by proxy, Atlanta, for my undergrad career, and decided against it because it didn't feel comfortable. Yet when I walked onto UCLA's campus, I immediately felt at ease and excited, to the somewhat dismay of my mom since UCLA was technically the "lowest ranked" by US News other than my safety school. Interesting how things like that come back to us.
Well I don't know much about school rankings or for that matter which schools are best for what your studying but if you did stay in Georgia what would you think about Athens; I hear it's supposed to be a great college town. I've never been to UCLA but I do know UC Berkley seemed like a really neat place.
Perhaps you'll move back to California and stop along the way for a visit here in the beautiful mountainous state of Colorado where you'll be able to meet me (your scenery tour guide) and we can discuss such topics as Asian quirks and the weather over coffee or tea or the like. ;-p
lol. coffee, yeah right. you've been trying to get into my pants since adding me! :-p i suppose if i ever stopped through denver and didn't say hi, i might get slaughtered.

Prolly something to the effect of "watch out he likes to flirt with Asian guys"; which would be true.
