[FANART] 'Ye olde Knights
Let me just say one thing: Knights!
I love knights. I love swordfighting. That whole honour and protecting your king stuff. I love the manly brooding and bromance and... yeah. I love knights. A few years back, BBC's "Merlin" was the death of me, because EVERYONE in it was a knight (or a wizard, who are also cool). Generally, any fandom I enter, I will go through a mandatory Fantasy AU phase.
That phase is now.
Be afraid Yugioh. Be very afraid.
With apologies to Fudou Yusei and Mutou Yuugi. Three sketches under the cut.
So, remember that stupid Fantasy AU drabble I did a few days ago? Well, this is ALL its fault. Also, this is all possibly set within that universe too.
This is probably the closest I've ever gotten to drawing Yuugi in my actual drawing style. I never know what to do with his oversized eyes, so translating him to a more realistic style is... interesting.
Also, Yuugi, you are so short and scrawny, you'd get speared in an instant if you were actually a knight. haha In my head, you're a brilliant strategist, and that's how you kick everyone's ass. So long as you have an army to keep you from dying. :D;
Aaaand then Yusei decided he should be a knight too. Because he has that whole broody martyr honour thing going on. And hey! He has the biceps for it too! XD You heft that two-hander, Yusei!
In my head, Yusei is a knight disciple of the Red Dragon cult or something. XD So... maybe he's more like a crusader? Hmm... Anyway, he has a sword and a flowy cape.
There's this story being built in my head right now... and somewhere, somehow, Yuugi and Yusei need to meet up in a tavern and play a game against each other. Because it would be hilarious. And maybe even badass. XD
...More knight Yusei doodles. I was trying to figure out how Yusei would look in my style too. So hence the head-shot. Incidentally, he looks a lot like the way I'd draw Heero Yuy. >_>;
Sorry Jack Atlas. Out of everyone, YOU would have been the most apropriate figure for a knight. However, I have not bothered to learn how to draw your hair yet. So hence you get to stay an invisible knight for now.
Things currently warring for my attention: More knight pictures! and "Puzzleshipping smut in a park"...
