I want to play WC2011 for the DS. There was a problem with this however. The bottom screen on my DS started going a few months back, and has become increasingly more illegible as time went on. I was too lazy to get it fixed, and I didn't want to discard poor DeathScythe (DS's name... >_>) if it was still TECHNICALLY working. I mean, man, I took really good care of this thing! I was attached to it!
But it was time. So I figured out this money-saving scheme by buying a good-condition, used DS and then selling Deathscythe to a guy for parts to make up the difference in cost. Sounds good so far, right?
Well, I bought this pink DS today. I named it Yusei. XD (Somehow it seemed appropriate.) Then I went to sell Deathscythe, and noticed that the guy had a pile of broken DS's on his coffee table and was fixing them. And I asked him "Hey, instead of SELLING you my DS, how much would it be for you to FIX it instead?"
What he said? 20 bucks.
Yes. The "fix your electronics" store quoted me $60. This guy was going for $20. That's gooood. Especially since I didn't want to play on someone's abused DS after I'd been taking such good care of mine for years.
So now I have two. :D;; I paid $65 for Yusei, and now I'll have to sell him not an hour after I bought him. haha Ah well. I'm just happy Deathscythe works now. ♥
