Pet Deposit

-- still no baby

I posted about this is law_questions, but didn't mention it here.

My apartment complex raised the pet deposit from 200 to 250 but didn't send our a written notice. So when I went to pay the deposit for Koopa they rudely informed me that it was 250. I ended up leaving, going home, being mad about it, posting about it and then deciding that I was paying 200. Especially because they still have it advertised as being 200 on several websites.

I ended up taking my Nook with one of the websites already up and telling her flat out that the Indiana Tenants Rights says that all pricing changes that affect current residents have to be given in writing to residents at least 30 days before the change takes place. The complex manager very snottily said that they had the right to increase prices at any time. Which is true, but they have to notify us in writing.

Whatever.

I paid 200, I win.

I'm so glad we're moving at the end of this year.
