Haven't done the LJ thing for a while. Posting the happenings of my daily humdrum doesn't seem too logical when there's no humdrum to report.
I guess some stuff has finally happened, so I can catch those who "need to know" up a bit.
Pennsylvania: my uber-christian brother's wedding to a mennenite girl. Angel and I flew out there and witnessed this beautiful thing. I was a groomsman, in fact. It was really very lovely in a purely GOOOD sort of way. After 4 days of non-sleep in a strange place, I was definately ready to return to my life of evil indulgence and broadband.
Oh, and the worst flight of my life was the last leg home. US Airways=ghetto-style. Granted, I grabbed the cheapest seats in the world, but when sitting in the plane on the ground in Philly waiting to take off for Denver, there was a glaring announcement..
[chhkrrck-static]This is the captain speaking.. we're not taking off yet because there aren't enough baggage handlers at this station. After the plane next to us has been loaded, they'll be over to load our bags. Thank you for your patience.." [chhkrrck]
Okay, so I live in a spoiled-brat country where waiting for an hour to take off due to a staffing problem of a near-bankrupt airline is (irrationally) a hanging crime. When the baggage workers showed up, they worked their asses off, so props to them. I'm not flying US-Air again though.
I think I was granted the mini-tantrum in my head since: A) I wanted the hell out of the backwater I was stuck in, and B) I checked no bags. I sat with my single piece of carry-on luggage and waited for an hour so the peeps with 245 bags could have all their shit loaded into the plane so we could take off!!... [pant..pant..pant] /end_rant
Other than that, life is peachy. I'm back in Denver and cannot believe how nifty all the angry people are, after spending nearly a week with the "Waltons".
I had to curse loudly and repeatedly upon returning home.. just because it could.
Luscious.
Enough to die.
