i'm SO happy that fall is happening. there's just something so transitional and magical about it. haven't had the emotional thing yet, though. that usually happens to me midwinter, ack. although i AM starting to feel the desire to hibernate with happy stews and fuzzy blankets and the like. i wish we had a fireplace, really.

Not only is fall my very favorite time of year, but this one has been amazing. Uncharacteristically long and temperate for Colorado. I've been adoring it. Too bad I know it will have to end soon.
Fall is a wonderful time of year. Like you said, everything slows down. The air is crisp, and full of energy. Everything dies off, but only to make way for new life next spring. The souls of trees are exposed for all to see.
