My Christmas wishlist (C&P'ed from last night's Word doc)

vegetariansushi prodded okay? I blame/thank her for this, and so many other things.

I was half way through writing this when the power went out. It's still out while I type this, and I've just been outside for a look about and it seems to have affected only our side of the river because there are lights on directly across the water. It's midnight, nearly 12.30am and mum and dad were already in bed when the outage struck. Hmm, can I add "get over my fear of the dark" to the list?

To the list itself:

1. Paid LJ account. This is actually a really minor thing, in the scheme of things, because it's easily attainable by moi. However, it feeds directly into the next two items, so I'm throwing it out there (plus, it gives me a round number of items *is a freak*)

2. Icons: For some reason I'm all about River (doing hand-to-hand, generally kicking arse or walking around in those bare feet), or Zoe. More generally, anything Supernatural at all, but particularly something other than the standard head-shot *studiously does not look at her own SPN icon*. I still want the boys in the shot, but I’m interested in unusual crops. See here as an example. And um, that wasn't so general. Whups.

3. I just realised that if I get a paid LJ account, I can have a banner. (Actually, I might be able to have one unpaid, but that's beside the point) Something featuring all three Winchester men, using weapons all the better.

4. A (SPN obviously) Pastor Jim-centred fic. Gen with wee! or teen!winchesters would make me so happy. Fic that makes use of religious trappings (set in his church, with Mass, prayers, and a healthy serving of Latin etc) would make me even more so.

5. Slash John Winchester with someone: canon character, OMC hunter, whoever, and show me his alpha side (or his alpha-self, because 'side' suggests there's some *other* side to him…is there?), or his alpha-self up against someone else's alpha side/self [grin].

6. Battery-recharger. Something that works and can fit AA and AAA batteries, or a recharger for AAA and recharger for AA if they're a 'one-size fits one' sort of deal.

7. Private health insurance. Something that would cover my physio (lots of money) and my dental bills (just regular check ups). Mostly, I'm after to someone to do the frakking paperwork and the "X plan is best for you" research.

8. External harddrive, size to be determined post-research, because heh, I remember when I bought my laptop 40 gig was "omg, huge". Not so much anymore.

9. The time and space to do Karate/martial arts regularly. There did used to be a tiny class available two days a week literally down the road from me but that closed down for lack of students/money. For the near-year I went though, I got myself some fantastic calf muscles and general body strength/confidence that I rather miss now.

10. A place to move out into. Because this is a wish list I can say things like "cheap enough to rent alone while still being a non-"Interesting" suburb, within two Transperth zones of wherever I need to go" but that's not physically possible. So, y'know, housemates I can get along with, rent I can afford, close to bus/trains etc. Note to self: figure out what your paycheck actually is, first!
