As I'm sure you all have heard (at least here in the USA) - there are children who have actually been prosecuted, and convicted, of crimes that put them in the National Sex Offender Database

The worst is when they get convicted for child pornography, for taking nude pictures of THEMSELVES. Such bullshit.

And then there are the states where the DA doesn't have a choice and is required to prosecute them like that because legislators passed laws criminalizing underage sexual activity.

There are so many things wrong with the way that story is going...
