On your "My Yahoo" page you can put in and edit any content module your little heart desires...well, any content module pre-approved and designed by Yahoo. On my page I decided it would be fun to have The Onion widget which lists several headlines each day. I also decided it would be wonderful to have the 'Oddly Enough' news stories module, which also lists several headlines each day of the world's most odd news stories.
This seemed like a good idea at the time - who doesn't love a good odd story now and then? - but, I keep coming across the problem of skimming the headlines and not knowing if I'm reading The Onion or the truth, which, if you're a certain Communist government in the East, you're just as confused.
This isn't a life-threatening problem, in fact, it's not even a troublesome problem. But it is a problem I did not forsee and I find it interesting. Especially when, "Man set for execution wants to die laughing," is a real news story whereas "GEICO saves 15% or more by discontinuing advertising," is not.
