> Stephen Colbert Híd

The link above will send you to a nice little Hungarian website where you can name a new bridge in Hungary after Stephen Colbert.

Do it.

Don't be scared by all of the Hungarian text on the webpage. Just click on the link to register (Regisztráció...See? that one's almost the same) and once you get to the next page you type in your email address and create a password. Don't forget to re-enter your password to verify your identity as a real person thus proving you are not some cold, lifeless bot trying to unfairly rack up votes. Cheating is wrong, people. By the way, does the word "re-enter" require a hyphen? I don't think it does, but it looks a darn sight better than "reenter." Those double e's are murder.

Once you've registered you can vote. You can vote for the Stephen Colbert Híd.

You may be asking yourself, "Self, who is this Stephen Colbert character?" and you would answer, "Other Self, I'm not sure."

If this is you, then let me tell you that Stephen Colbert is no character. He is in fact a highly respected, highly paid(?), serious news reporter on the revered cable TV channel, Comedy Central (channel 18 for those folks in Northeast Wisconsin...a swing state in the last presidential election by the by).

Vote for him. Vote for Stephen and all of your wildest dreams will come true. And no, I did not steal that catchphrase from the character Pedro in the movie "Napoleon Dynamite." That would just be crass.

Now, once you visit the site, you may ask yourself, "Self, why don't I just vote for Jon Stewart? Or better yet, Chuck Norris?"

The answer to that, my friends, is that if you voted for Jon Stewart you would lose. Did you look at the rankings? Stephen Colbert is winning by a landslide! Always vote for a winner, people.

Which brings us to Chuck Norris. He's losing even worse than Job Stewart, so whatever you do do not vote for him. If America has any chance of taking over this small part of the wonderful Hungarian culture, then we must keep pushing to vote for Stephen Colbert. If democracy has any chance over MSZP, then we must remain strong, united, and true. After all, we've got Truth on our side. It's one of the advantages of getting to pick first.

Now let's go name a bridge!
