Boldog Karácsonyt, everyone! I hope you are all enjoying time with your friends and loved ones. The party outside looks inviting, so I believe I'll be attending. And ice skating! It makes me miss Balaton. And the music reminds me of home ( Read more... )

Frohe Weihnachten.

The tradition is certainly strange. But I suppose all of our traditions could be seen as strange for others.

Thank you ♥

That is true! Though I can't imagine December without Santa Claus and Krampusz, I'm sure there are others who would balk at such traditions. I do wish Wonderland themselves were here to teach us about their traditions, though.

When you compare those traditions to America's, it would be terrifying.

Maybe there isn't a Wonderland.

Oh yeah, he doesn't have Krampusz, does he? Darn, we could have given him a fright on the sixth.

I suppose, but... I don't like that possibility.

It would be late, but it's still in the spirit of Christmas time.

Neither do I, but it could explain it. There are plenty of people who have never met their country, which isn't strange in itself but if they were actually from places there countries were just...landmasses. After all there is that other Denmark, and Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Okay, now I want to do it.

Yeah... it's just a strange thought. What is a country without its spirit? Sometimes this place feels alive and I think there must be a nation, but why have they never shown up? I feel like the fact that there are alternate versions of Denmark and others is enough to show that other worlds have us. The land can't be dead.

Ahh, but this is rather morbid talk for Christmas, isn't it? Are you going skating?

I imagine we can get Austria to help us; there should be something in the closets.

[ahahahah Prussia left the closet on the west side.]

I was thinking of going, yes.

I'll talk to him. Maybe all three of us could dress up and surround him?

Oh, good! It will be nice to go with friends.

That sounds good.

Is Austria going as well?

It will be a good way for him to learn about cultures other than his own.

Oh, he is. He may not know it yet, but he is.

He'll be in for a surprise, at least. When should we plan on doing this?

I see.

Hmm, maybe tonight? We'll just have to find out his plans.

He make take extra persuasion to actually skate, though.

That shouldn't be too difficult, he isn't usually very secretive about these things.

I imagine you can convince him.

I'm looking forward to it now.

You know how he can be about the outdoors.

As am I.

Yes. I know. He gets lost rather easily, as well.

Austria's willing, by the way. Definitely happening now.

I know. Poor dear.
