Caprica!
So tonight I finally got around to watching the end of the sci-fi channels original series Caprica. It was really quite excellent, I highly recommend the series. I actually enjoyed itconsiderably more than I did Battlestar Galactica, but considering I haven't actually gotten around to finishing BG that might not be saying much.
It came together very well, artistically, culturally and as a story; it's also only an 18 episode series, so a shorter watch.
I think I might actually try giving the last two seasons of BG another go now.
