[This is exactly the opportunity Kiritsugu had been waiting for.]

[Until now, his most promising plan had been to dispose of the chief of police, but really, Kiritsugu knows he has no way of doing that yet. Even if he were to succeed, losing a man in that position did little the last time it happened. However, to take charge of the role would ( Read more... )

There's nothing that ensures someone else will think of something. Not after so long.

Regardless, if this works, it also removes the possibility of anyone with harmful intentions getting the position.

Murder and theft are the first ones that comes to mind. Hopefully, nobody will come forward with any of that degree. They didn't specify that they had to be serious crimes.

[In truth, Kiritsugu wouldn't mind knowing of more people to watch out for, but he would much rather not have to deal with serious criminals right now, for the sake of his plan going smoothly.]

[No surprise at all. None that he displays, at least.]

[Unfortunately, Rin chose a very bad time to divulge this. Kiritsugu believes himself fully capable of using that piece of information to his advantage. He'd rather not, of course, but if he were to end with exactly five confessions at the end of the day...]

[He's... not proud of himself for that, no. Still, the very memory of the same people Rin's thinking about is what pushes Kiritsugu towards killing that voice inside his head shouting out his feelings.]

[Kiritsugu hasn't forgotten who Rin's servants were. He has not met Archer, and going from what she said a few weeks ago, he likely never will. Still, if she had desired to kill so fervently as to order her Servants to do so through command spells, it is unlikely she would be expressing regret. Therefore, this means Lancer is willing to do away with people.]

[Kiritsugu will have to watch out for him if he does submit this.]

I believe you.

[It's to be understood, really. Last he heard of them, the Tohsakas were the prime example of magi. Apart from simply being a magus, the high possibility of one from that family being willing to kill is precisely the reason why Kiritsugu does not trust her. He can't reassure her, though. Not when he represents the magus' willingness to kill to such a greater degree.]
