The scene: I sit down at my computer with a wee bit of the Glenlivet Nadurra, angels dancing on my tongue, and I think, "Other folks on the f-list must love single malts as much as we. I should use 'the power of teh Internets (tm)!'"
Nicci and I have indulged in many a single malt scotch tasting of late - and we've found quiet a few we've enjoyed. We try to keep an example of each major region represented in the bar - but there's *so many*.
We're looking for recommendations.
Either we've tasted and liked (or our collection includes) the following:
Lagavulin 16 Year (we want to get the Distillers Edition next)
Auchentoshan 10 Year (this was one of Nicci's first single malts - I want to grab the Three Wood next - anyone had it?)
Aberlour a'bunadh
The Glenlivet Nadurra
Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban
The Balvenie 21 Year PortWood
The Balvenie 17 Year RumCask (thanks for the recommend
lucasthegray)
Laphroaig Quarter Cask (I'm not as partial to this one, but Nicci very much likes it)
Talisker 10 Year, Distillers Edition, and 18 Year (all yummy)
Littlemill 1991 (Gordon McPhail bottling)
I'm partial to Speysides. Nicci has grown to love Islays and the more peaty drams.
What say you?
