Many thanks to my Mom for emailing the long-awaited pictures of my niece, Phoenix Tamathina Wiley Burbank. And those picture captions are no lie. Lealyn did 30 hours of labor, drug free, to bring the poundspawn into the world.

They called me "little old man" when I was born. After seeing these pictures, I think I understand. The one with her eyes open - there's something there, an almost otherworldly intelligence. She's an old soul methinks.
