Amazon gift certificates really are the best sorts of parental Hogswatch gifts

As I have a significant amount of money left in my account from this most recent gift-giving occasion, and as I have another coming up fairly soon, and as the GFP and I have just passed the half-way point in BtVS Season 2, I figured I'd go ahead and drop the $19.99 for Season 3*.  The intelligent way to get the free shipping would have been to buy Season 4, as well, but I instead decided it was high time I start reading Sandman.

My brand spankin' new copies of BtVS Season 3 and Preludes and Nocturnes showed up this afternoon.  This makes it even harder to care about that design project, as I'm sure you might imagine.

Spike is on the sixth disc?!  What the hell is THAT all about?  What about y'know, Oz or Cordelia or Mayor Wilkins (I really do love Mayor Wilkins) or someone who actually was in more than one episode that season?  Anya, even.  I'm a great big, unabashed Spike fangirl and everything, but there is NO reason for him to be on a Season 3 disc.

* I know, Doctor, I know I still don't have two of your series (the two that are my nominal favourites, in fact), much less any of Torchwood or SJA.  But, come on.  22 episodes for less than $20?  The best deal I could get on any of the Who or TW was $49.99 for a used S4, and that's just 13 episodes.  And, you know, I actually _had it in my cart_ before I decided on the Buffy instead.  I promise I will eventually complete my New Who collection, but I guess I'm still hoping for some miracle of plunging prices or something.

litgeek funness, btvs, i'm sorry doctor i'm so sorry
