I'm going to keep it brief, because I'm rather sick of griping about it at this point and I kinda want to pay attention to Battlestar, but I did want to say this:
I love Donna.
The line the Doctor said while he was standing in the "thing" right before transporting that final time was fantastic.
And during the few brief moments when I wasn't enraged about the stupidity of practically everything that happened in the episode (the nonsense with Gramps trapped in the car, the "solution," the godsdamned kiss...), I was quite enraged by what SciFi did to the episode. I mean, there was nothing as reprehensible as the Y2H debacle, but they completely destroyed the flow of the final acts and cut out some really dumb stuff. Was it just me, or did he completely skip the "You've saved me" part of the "You've saved me...SO many times" line? Please tell me I just heard it wrong, because that makes NO sense at all.
Anyway, yeah. See those guys up there in my user icon? THAT'S UNIT. And, as silly as it seemed, torching the giant mutant maggots made a LOT more sense than torching _the atmosphere_ (did you see how close that was to the ground, too? We're not talking about the upper atmosphere, here, we're talking a couple dozen stories high).
