Five thoughts after watching "A Mirror Darkly" and "Joker Express"

 1) Peculiar that we see the evil copy of Flash before we properly meet real Flash on this show...  Not how most shows would have played that, I don't think.

2) I'm not terribly thrilled about the fact that every single time Batman teams up with another superhero (on basically any show, not just this one), the other hero winds up being portrayed as an incompetent fool in some crucial-to-the-story way.  That said, Flash was absolutely precious in this episode, though I will admit a certain bias.

3) You'd think Bats would have already done enough pattern recognition work to figure out that all of the "giggle bandits" rode the subway (or even better if it was a particular subway).  Trailing Barb doesn't seem like the Batmaniest way of going about this.

4) Maybe I'm not as good with geography and geology as I like to think, but...since when are coastal ports good places for coal mines?  Because Gotham is NYC, after all...  (I do love the canary, though.  That was a nice touch.)
4a) I guess if I'm going to accept Gotham having extensive bat caves, though, I'm gonna have to accept coal mines...

5) "You've gotta be kidding me." Just what I was thinking, Barb.
5a) And of course, here's that "Bitches be shoppin'" nonsense I was afraid would happen when they introduced her...  Not that there's anything inherently wrong with a teenage girl wanting to go shopping, just...having Dick whine about it is SO FREAKING DONE, and they conveniently fail to mention that Bruce Wayne gets his designer clothes from somewhere, too.  I want to tell my brain it's just a silly cartoon, but these silly cartoons are one of the places kids learn how people interact and what is "funny," and then those kids grow up to watch and write and produce and program shows that have wider audiences, and that's how we get Two and a Half Men (and, lately, How I Met Your Mother.  QUINN'S JOB IS NOT A PUNCHLINE.  Jokes can be made that incorporate Quinn's job in a humourous manner, but the simple fact that a stripper is in a relationship is not a joke)  (Whoa.  That went a little farther afield than I meant for it to...).
