Yeah, so...aside from the facts that Bolin and Pabu are adorbs, that I'm glad Mako and Bolin are mature enough to not be raging dicks to one another, and that Korra and Asami were both awesome individuals and managed to save this episode in the last round from TOTAL FUCKING BECHDEL FAILURE by being awesome to one another, as well*... Well, let's let April explain my feelings about the rest of "The Spirit of Competition":

Here are some
adorably delicious-looking pretzel lady bugs to distract every other LoK fan on earth while Inner!Mai*** and I run off and mumble to each other about how much people suck.
* And, credit where credit is due, this was Asami-driven all the way. I think I'm going to declare her my favourite character** JUST TO BE ORNERY AND PISS OFF THE ENTIRETY OF FANDOM BECAUSE FANDOM IS BEING GROSS. In related news, have I mentioned lately that I miss Nora? BECAUSE I MISS NORA.
(Watch me spit at fandom from what I think is an isolated island far away from fandom mainland, and then get destroyed by people at Leaky who have somehow found my island and seen me and my spitballs and are *not amused* that I think I can then stand in front of them and lecture.)
** Other than Ed the pro-bending commentator, of course. When are they going to stop mucking about with these love triangles no one cares about and get to the tragically beautiful story of how Rob Paulsen's character, Joe, falls in love with Ed's voice on the radio one evening and tries unsuccessfully to woo him until he is fatally, poetically electrocuted by a radio? The Equalist movement and all this Avatar nonsense is POINTLESS when there is SHIPPING to be done!!!1!!1!1!!!ELEVENTYZILLIONANDONE
*** "Inner!Mai" may, in fact, be more of an Outer!Mai at times. Times like these, in fact.
