"I married ALF and we're pretty happy."

Apparently dissatisfied with the lack of Parks & Rec in my diet last night, my brain very graciously granted me an emotional roller coaster of a dream that could very easily have been an episode of the show.  Well, it could have been an episode of the show provided Tom was applying to grad schools, the Parks Department started using vigilante tactics (apparently up to and including leaping off of overpasses onto moving trains carrying stolen goods) to deliver medicine to sick children, Anne had been the one to like Ben initially, Leslie somehow completely missed the fact that Anne liked him, and Ben was a player.  Like, a *bigtime* player.  So really not anything like Parks & Rec at all, except somehow very much like it in style and the way all of the characters interacted (minus the bit about Tom wanting to have anything to do with school and, y'know, Ben being a player).  Being as this is at least the second dream I've had wherein dear, sweet Benji Wyatt has been a bit Parker Abrams-y, I wracked my brain all morning trying to figure out why this a recurring theme in my unconscious.  It eventually dawned on me that my brain is probably conflating Ben with Griff Hawkins.  So, thanks, BWM, for preventing me from having happy, fuzzy, fun P&R dreams.

Today's Writer's Block is about meeting famous people, and it's called "Starstruck" (which Magpie would no doubt point out is fairly approrpriate), almost as if they are prompting me to finally write about what I've been up to this fall.  Alas, I must instead go socialize with my grandpadres, but I should at least get to the telling of the stories by the time I do my year in review...whenever I pull that off.
