I was so amused/brain-broken by the fact that Terry McGinnis was in the presence of a character named Xander* - trust me, this is extraordinarily humourous and weird if you happen to think Xander Harris is essentially an exact live action duplicate of Ron Stoppable - that I missed it the first time the character spoke. But I got another opportunity a few minutes later to have a proper ROFLCOPTER fangirl moment over the fact that it's Alexis Densiof, you guys! I love Bruce Timm shows SO MUCH.
When I swung by IMDb to make sure I wasn't having an auditory hallucination,
this picture was on the front page, and I swear to assorted deities I thought it was Bill Nighy, even _after_ I read the caption. Obviously I see Gary Oldman now, but his chameleonic superpower fooled me again. Also,
this picture gives me the (swoony) warm fuzzies something fierce. Also also, how is it possible that
this movie exists, how have I never heard of it, and where can I find a copy?
I don't know if y'all can get to this - I kind of don't think you can - but Tom Lenk posted
an adorable video for backers of his Kickstarter project, and it has pretty much confirmed what I long suspected Re: Andrew being an only slightly exaggerated version of Lenk himself. If you cannot, in fact, get to it and would like to, drop me a line, and I'll see what I can do.
After my rewatch of "Dad" a few days ago, I have been reminded of why Lorne is my favourite Whedon character. I was worried there for a while that Lynch's Spike had bumped him, and Lorne still hasn't entirely taken back his role as third member of my Triumvirate of Favourite Characters. But, given that he gets to play essentially the same role in "Dad" that he did in "Epiphany," and that what he did in "Epiphany" saved the whole show for me - as well as Angel himself - and further given what Spike was up to at this point in the proceedings compared to what I know Lorne will be up to in the next few episodes...given all that, I am fairly confident he'll be back in his proper place soon.
And on the "I am insane...oh, and also obsessed" front**, a portion of the dream I had during this week's installment of the continuing series, It's Friday Afternoon, So Ms Pudifoot Is Going to Fall Sleep in Her Work Clothes and Wake Up Several Hours Later Having Missed the First Airing of The Soup, and Only Then Because Her Mum Told Her Dinner Was About to Be Put Away (Isn't That What All Twenty-Somethings Do on Friday Night?), was about me taking a vacation to New York with Britta and Abed, then spending a sizable portion of the trip convincing them both that Annie was romantically interested in them. Both of them. Apparently my brain has taken to heart both that Season Two spoiler and the Kickpuncher comic in the box set. And then Britta and Abed made out (apparently my brain has also taken to heart that scene from "Romantic Expressionism"), after which I tucked Abed into bed and Britta and I took the 7 train to a convenience store/ethnic supermarket, where upon Britta turned into
magpieinthesky, and we bought Dr. Peppers, Red Vines, and dried seaweed then nearly spilled all of it when Christopher Chant showed up out of nowhere, apparently for no reason other than to be dapper and vaguely distracted at us.
...less than a week until epic epicness!
* Or Zander, as it turns out.
** Not that this whole post hasn't been variations on that theme, just this is even more so than the rest.
ETA: In case anyone needs convincing about Xander = Ron, I'm now watching "Gone" (which is going to be far, far more amusing, having heard Marsters speak about filming it) and pretty much cannot stop laughing about Xander's "Good Godfrey Cambridge, Spike!"
EOATA: And now I'm watching "Beginning Pottery," and holy crapola, that's Tony Hale as the pottery teacher! Buster! Oh, the difference a couple of weeks and two discs worth of Arrested Development makes...
EHFTLTTA: HAHAHA! I totally missed the "Goldbluming" joke the first time. There _are not words_, I swear.
