Out of My Mind

It's time again for another Meme from Magpie!

Using only EPISODE names from ONE TV SHOW, cleverly answer these questions. Try not to repeat an episode title.

Pick your Show: See, it's funny, 'cause I've been obsessively playing the Name All the Episodes of BtVS and Angel games on Sporcle for the past week or so.  Obviously, then, I'll be going with ( Read more... )

(If this has already posted and I just can't see it, please forgive me and delete the other copies. LJ has been acting _real_ weird for me the last few days.)

THAT'S the Katy Perry song with the awesome Sims 2 video I was on about. "Hot and Cold". It's in Simlish, so the original lyrics aren't there to annoy you. I guess this means it's _in_ my game, since I have Apartment Life but...my Sims haven't been listening to the "Pop" station much lately. (I've been doing a lot of retro-and-older households--Lupin keeps it on the "Big Band" station at Hogwarts (OF COURSE), the Jordans usually listen to Oldies and Surf...my Angsty Teens (tm) tend to go for College Rock...)

Anyway, it's the sideways panning through the apartments bit that I find SO BRILLIANT--and I have _no fucking idea_ how it was done, given the limitations of the game* but it's _so cool_. It's one of those lovely showing-diversity kinds of things that just gives me a nice happy feeling inside. Like, "We're all different and that's beautiful. Yes, even the weird ones."

True or not, it's artsy _and_ gives me the warm fuzzies. So, go. Enjoy some Simmish fuzzies. :)

...Notorious

*In Apartment Life, you can play a household that's part of a larger building in which more than one family lives at the same time...

...BUT!

...you can't _see_ more than one family living their life at the same time. Only the household you've currently got loaded is visible, with the other apartments looking darked out if you try to pan over them. I can only assume this video involved a large apartment complex (custom-built, I suspect, to be more horizontally-divided than usual), recording of video in each one seperately, and some SERIOUSLY clever editing.
