Wherein I run the gamut of emotion

I finished the second season of Millennium last night.  The more I think about it, the more cheesed off I am.  I mean, we only had four recurring female characters to begin with: the embodiment of evil, the main character's estranged wife who is villainised at every turn, the main character's six-year-old daughter, and a co-worker of sorts who I ( Read more... )

Heh...in case you're wondering, I haven't written telling about the emergency not because I'm being snooty, but because the FRAZZLEDness of it is _still_ going on. I'm trying to balance between waiting until I can get a good night's sleep, a hot bath, and finally have enough time before bed to watch the next thing in my "rotation" (a New Who episode with Nine) and _then_ start the letter...and writing it so that it's not the first thing you see in your in-box right on Thankgsiving. Doesn't exactly seem holiday-appropriate. :P Anyway, things keep freaking CHANGING, so it's just as well I _didn't_ write the Tale of Woe back when I first wanted to--I would've had to just _deluge_ you with "Additionals". (Which is pretty much what my mom has been doing--being called back by relatives and re-updating them nearly _ever single friggin' day_.)

I SO still intend to look up "Pushing Daisies" someday, I really do. Did you know, somebody wrote a Sims 2 Challenge based off of it? I forget the whole deal, but basically it's that you play "as" Ned (as in, you're not allowed to look at anybody else's stats, even if they _are_ a currently-playable character) and your goal is to somehow get him and Chuck to fall in love _without touching each other_. Which causes you to really stop and _look_ at routine Sim animations you normally just ignore or take for granted, to see: DO they touch each other _at any time_ during this activity, or not? For example, do hands ever brush while playing chess? And heaven have mercy on anybody walking by that Ned meets by the typical Sim way of _shaking hands_ with them...
(Okay, so he doesn't actually kill off _everybody_ he touches, in the show. But for the purposes of this challenge...it's kind of a morbidly humourous way of thinning out your neighborhood. :P)

As for the "would you rather", I think Ned's. After all, it's only _one_ person, and I wouldn't have truly been responsible...

"Lorne" the Hamster _is_ truly adorable. Those EYES! They're not pink, they're really..._red_! Wow. It _does_ kinda look demonic or vampiric or something...for real.

Those links you put up...kind of don't work. You obviously were trying to link to a PNG image, but instead, after clicking in the address bar, refreshing, waiting forever and cursing, one just gets the actual IMDB article about whatever. Maybe that's what you meant, but it's still kind of odd.

Anyway.
