"Remember that it's up to you to go and shape your life into one thats worthy of remembering"

As part of my second annual Gear-Up for Halloween weekend moviefest*, I just watched Repo! The Genetic Opera.

Two very predictable responses, despite my attempts to watch with absolutely no preconceived notions about anything:

1) What in the bloody hell?!
2) Anthony Head is made of utter brilliance.

One very surprising response:

1) Paris Hilton?  Not all that bad.  (Did the Razzie people actually watch the film?  Because, really, I can name two actors _in this movie_ who were less convincing [Bill Moseley and Nivek Ogre])

And that's all you're getting from me for now.  But, if you want to see a preview of what I'll have for you later, there's always Lissa's review from MRFH** (how weird is it that their October banner happens to be _from this movie_?!)

* Which I will, as I did last year, post at least brief reviews of the collected films at the end of the month.

** Actually, having posted that link, it seems rather redundant to insist on doing my own review later; from the first feminist-card-revoking-concerned sentence of her review, she pretty much said exactly what I thought about it.  There is one element that she completely glossed over that _really_ stood out to me, though (perhaps because of what I spent the previous 12 hours doing), and I'll unpack that later.

movies, giles is so completely my hero
