Reno 911 - day 1
I came third! I played well except for phonying a lot and making bad challenges. also, I had mucho fun gambling/pokering. unfortunately I left my shoes in nevada, but besides that and my cold the trip went well. yay escapism!
I'm just going to throw up interesting positions that come up as they come along. day 1 had a lot of fun moments.
in game 1 I bingoed six times, which I believed I have never done before
in game 2 I scored many points against gary smart.
in game 3 against jeff the ending was quite dramatic.
in game 4 against leesa I played really bad.
in game 5, lester had a really cool opportunity to steal the game - definitely worth taking a look at...
in game 6 kenji destroyed me. this was probably the only play where I had a decision to make.
the last two rounds were awesome. against dominick, we had added ten points to his score, so I thought I had lost by a point by the end. check out the conclusion.
in game 8 I tied with jon shreve! my last two plays are both definitely worth taking a look at.
This was a really fun day of scrabble! afterwards kenji and I both went and played the GSR house poker tournament (I was chip leader at the last table and then blew it all in under five minutes) and then ed and I gambled to our heart's content.
