Bruce is having so much fun riding his new recumbent trike.
I love it that bike riding no longer bothers his hands. I was worried that riding such a low bike would make it more dangerous for him on the road. But the sight of that funny looking bright yellow trike really gets drivers attentions. They tend to slow down to get a better look at it.
I need to get in better shape before I can try doing much riding. Bruce has hopes I'll be in shape to get a trike of my own next year.
No more Renn Fest for us until next year so I've been washing and packing garb away. I will soon start sewing new costumes for Bruce but mine will wait until next spring in hopes I will lose weight by then.
As most of you know I'm a weaver and I've written one book on Tri Loom weaving. A second book has been in very slow progress for a long time. Most of the Tri Loom weavers I know are such imaginative weavers that I keep thinking no one would be interested in a book on weaving designs. So I keep changing the book and starting over.
I am finally starting to realize that what comes so easily to me is very hard for some weavers. Designing!
Tomorrow is the start of a new week so I'm going to go back on a writing schedule. Hopefully I will finally have my new book done in time for Christmas sales.
So at least 5 days I week I will exercise, write/weave, practice for our Roma Sahir Tribe act and then do what ever I have time left to work on. As a friend said recently- "Way to easy to put things off". Do the really important stuff first and the rest will take care of itself.
For the rest of today I'm going to rest, relax and drum. Well maybe I'll pull my floor loom out and get it ready to weave some straps for the small drums. Hard to play standing up if you have to use one hand to hold them. :)
