Last night I was given this radio. It's a Silvertone and the Sears catalog number is 7095. That's about all I know about it. Have done a little bit of research online, but I can only seem to find the schematic of the inside and no real information about when it was made. My guess would be late 1940'S to mid 1950'S. Whenever it was made I love it. It's currently not working, but I do have a box of new tubes. Unfortunately, I don't know what to do with those tubes or if it needs anything else.
Does anyone on here have any experience with old radios or know of a good place to take them to get them fixed?
I was also contemplating having it revamped so that I can play CDs through the speaker. I don't even know if that's possible, but I thought it would be great to find recordings of old radio shows and be able to listen to them coming out of that radio.
