On Friday I traded in a bunch of movies and almost half of my CDs and ended up with a bunch of credit. I thought for one shinning second that I was going to be able to get the entire series of Deadwood for an amazing price, but it turned out it was marked with the wrong price tag. There was much disappointment. Instead I ended up buying the first season of a BBC series called HEX. I've been watching it this morning and it's really odd. It's got witches and lesbian ghosts and fallen angels and large English estates and sexy parties and very strange hair-dos that I can only assume were the cutting edge of British fashion in 2007. It's almost overwhelming, but I think I like it. I believe it's worth checking out. My only fear is that it will become yet another series that I end up getting hooked on and then find out that that it was canceled suddenly and leaves me with no sense of resolution. I hate those.
