A/N: I have no idea if Omaha is an actual town in Canada or not. I only picked it because that was the name of the Counting Crows song I was listening to at the time. If it had been Mr. Jones, the town would probably be Jonesville or something. Also, I have no fricken clue what I was doing with this chapter but I was bored out of my mind in class and this is the result.

Four Months Later:
Supernatural was well into the filming of season one. The show's success was phenomenal and the ratings were climbing with each new episode. Despite the disagreement between the show's stars about the real life Winchesters, their relationship on screen and off was so powerful and it was continuously deepening. Away from the nosy, harsh lights of LA, the two could be in peace. They lived together, under the guise of working on the “brotherhood” between their TV counterparts. They were careful not to be “too friendly” when in public, but at home, behind closed doors, the two actors were able to love each other freely.

When they had finally decided on a place to settle down, Sam thought he couldn't be happier. They had picked Omaha, a small town about an hour outside of Vancouver. The house they chose was a two story, five bedroom cabin in the woods on the town's outskirts. Their closest neighbor was six miles away in all directions. This way, no one would get a glimpse of the pregnant Dean.

On the night Sam had officially opened his practice and gotten his first few patients, Dean proposed. One week later, the two were married in a small ceremony, Jared being their only witness besides the minister. After their wedding, Sam was even happier. But now...now his husband was eight months pregnant, moody, uncomfortable, tired all the time, and in Dean's own words he “looks like Gilbert Grape's mother.” Sam disagreed, but there was no arguing with Dean. Either way, both men were miserable.

“Where are you going Jay?” Jensen asked as he watched his boyfriend pack a small duffel. It was one of the rare times they had off. This time it was because something had blown up on set (no one injured) and the crew needed a week to repair the damage. Jensen had planned to spend the week in bed. Obviously, his lover had other ideas.

“I have something I need to pick up in South Dakota.”

“What?”

“Just something for a friend. It's kind of big though so I'm gonna fly down and drive it over. I should be back by the end of the week.”

“Are you serious? Jared, this is the first time we've had more than two days off and you're gonna spend it driving around the States?”

“I'm sorry Jen, but this is the only time I'm gonna have to get it. I'll make it up to you. I promise.” Jared sealed his promise with a kiss. “I'll call you later. I love you.”

Dean had just gotten downstairs when there was a knock on the door. He walked waddled over and found one Jared Padalecki standing on the other side. “Hey Jared.”

“Hey Dean. How are you feeling?”

“Like there's a baby the size of Texas inside me that's auditioning for 'Riverdance.'”

“Sorry, that sucks,” Jared replied trying to hold back a chuckle. “At least it won't be much longer before it gets here.”

“Not soon enough for me. So what brings ya here?”

“Is Sam here?”

“Yeah, he's down in the study,” Dean said as he lowered himself down onto the couch.

“I'll just go grab him. I have a surprise for you guys.”

“Don't bother. YO SAMMY!” Dean bellowed. Sam came running into the living room approximately ten seconds later, face flushed, breath coming in pants at having rushed to his husband from the back of the house.

“Are you alright? What's wrong?”

“Nothing, I'm fine. Jared here has a surprise for us.”

“Oh. Give me a fricken heart attack why don't you. Hi Jay.”

“Hi Sam. So-wait right here. I'll just go grab it.”

Without another word the actor disappeared. A few minutes later, he pulled something bulky and covered through the front door. “Okay-so my grandfather kind of has this obsession with carpentry so I asked him to make this for you guys and a friend of yours put the finishing touches on it. I hope you like it,” he explained before he pulled off the tarp. When he did, he uncovered a beautiful wooden crib. Sam helped his husband up and together they slowly approached it. The closer they got, the more they could see the protection symbols delicately carved into the head/foot boards and the sides. “Bobby,” Dean whispered.

“Yeah. I know your demon's gone, but I figured there was no harm in extra protection. Bobby put on the symbols.”

“This is beautiful Jay. Thank you,” Sam said as he hugged the man. Dean simply stood there speechless; unaware of the tears slipping down his face as his fingers gently ran over the wood.

TBC

A/N: Gilbert Grape obviously referencing “What's Eating Gilbert Grape” with Johnny Depp. This might be the longest chapter so far. I kept stopping and starting this chapter and I have no idea where this actually came from. Anyway, I'm thinking there is only going to be one more chapter of this and possibly an epilogue, but we'll see. Hope you enjoyed the update.
