holy shit kids.
I know Obama was the favorite but conservative america has never ceased to surprise me.
im shocked/surprised/proud that so many people turned out to vote.
in the last election i waited maybe 10 minutes to vote. certainly not hours.
and (at least I felt) that was an equally important election.
when i got to class today my classmates congratulated me (ha). until i moved here I didn't realize how much impact america and the american government has on other countries. people are pretty critical. when i mailed my ballot the postman dude was animate to know who i had voted for.
and on the other hand... WTF california? ban gay marriage but spend billions on a bullet train from northern to southern california? the same state that couldn't pay their government workers last month is building, of all things, a bullet train? seriously.
