Friend of mine "loaned" me a copy of Dawn of War: Dark Crusade (Litany of Litany's Litany). Gotta say, entirely separate from the fact that it's Warhammer (and thus a buffet of manliness), the game is a lot of fucking fun. The campaign mode isn't just a series of engagements, you're fighting for control of a planet so you're stomping around on a giant map picking which battles you want to fight, so it's kind of like Risk, but instead of rolling dice to decide who conquers who you have an RTS battle! And as you gain more territory you earn special perks like the ability to attack two territories in a round, and your commander gets extra equipment to make him more of a badass, which feeds the "gotta fill those bars" mentality that RPGs have used so succesfully to keep a vice grip on my testicles as well.
I'm going through the Campaign mode as the Word Bearer Chaos Marines right now, probably going to try Necrons next. At some point in the future, I might even get a full night's sleep.
