I start school on May 12th. I will be taking Psychological Explanations for Criminal Behaviour and Introduction to Moral Philosophy.
I am on the waitlist for a class called Brain, Mind and Society but I'm a bit worried I might not get into it because it is reserved for evening and weekend students first, which means they get first dibs even before waitlisted students... so even though I applied for the class weeks ago some d-bag can come along today and get a spot. There are only 4 more seats available for the class, I am fourth on the waitlist, and the deadline for evening and weekend students is in four days. That means the only way I am guaranteed a spot is if no one joins the class in the next four days. It sucks because I tried to enroll in the class in the first hour it was available to me and I still only got on the waitlist. Taking only two classes would probably be way to easy so I want that third one. It's also a required course for the Crim Major I want to be in so that's pretty important too.
I've still been doing a lot of comedy lately. I think I'll actually be able to do more of it when I'm in school too because right now work is taking up a lot of time but when I'm in school I won't be working as much anyways. It's still going well and I'm getting more and more comfortable on stage and I'm still writing new jokes and stuff so it's all good. A while ago another comedian came up to me and was like, "Hey man, I like your blog. Good stuff. I like hearing what other people have to say about the comedy scene." I was like, "Uhh... I don't have a blog. You must be thinking of someone else." Then later I realized he was talking about my LJ. I was pretty confused because I don't know how he came across it because this doesn't even come up if you google my name or anything. It was kind of weird. Now because that one comedian read my LJ once I'm worried about bad-mouthing any other comedians or any co-workers or any people in general because who knows could be reading all this?! And obviously all I want to do is bad-mouth people.
I always want to be at work and have a customer come up to me and say, "Hey! I saw you do stand-up last night!" But a while ago the opposite happened. I was doing stand-up and some audience member was like, "Hey! You sold my girlfriend some pants yesterday!"
Work is still going okay too. I'm getting lots of hours still. My co-workers are mostly all cool although management is weird because everyone is my age so there's a lot of social stuff and personality going into the style of management instead of being professional and business-like. But every job anyone ever works has management problems so it's not really a big deal so far.
I got a haircut a while ago but it was at a student haircutters place so she didn't really cut anything because she was too nervous I wouldn't like it. So I want to get a haircut soon. I might try cutting it myself though because Adrian, Lucas and Ross all cut their own hair all the time and they all have pretty cool hair. I also want to give a bunch of clothes to a consignment store because I never throw away clothes. I still wear clothes I wore when I was fourteen and it has started to pile up. Now that I work at a clothing store and get some pretty sweet deals I want some more room in my closet so I can stock up for the next 9 years! So next time you see me I might be a completely new man!
Also it is Carly and Becky's birthday's today! Happy birthday!
