Today capped off my extremely uneventful week. School was pretty much a blur. Mrs. Kelly showed old episodes of Eye On Metamora without even consulting Mike or I first. With ten minutes left of first hour, she goes, "Okay now we're going to watch classic episodes of Eye On Metamora!" Mike and I were both kind of like "Huh???" Totally came out of nowhere. In Brit Lit I learned that Mrs. Ronane is indeed the evil bitch that most people claim her to be. Earlier this week I accidentally left my book in the cafeteria, and now it is fucking lost. So I showed up both yesterday and today without that goddamn book and Ronane got uber-pissed. I actually got in trouble in front of the entire class. That hasn't happened since like sixth grade, so I was a bit shocked. Frankly, I'm glad I lost that book because it weighs almost as much as me and every single story in there is a piece of shit. Third hour I continued writing my story about a park bench that spreads lies and propaganda amongst the animal citizens of the park. It's a children's story only with profanity and murder. In PE we played Speedball, which is the greatest sport on the planet Earth! If we played Speedball all year round I would be in excellent shape. During lunch I was getting my strawberry milk when I happened to notice that the national guard was in the cafeteria. I immediately went over to their booth, because hey, free pencils. Once I arrived at the booth I saw a stack of t-shirts with ARMY logos emblazoned all over them. I picked one up thinking that it was free, but then some huge national guard dude came waddling up and says to me, "Those aren't free, but you can win them in the raffle!" So I inquired as to how I could enter this "raffle". Apparently I had to sign up for the National Guard or something in order to get my name in. I almost left right then, because I will never join the ARMY because I'm not ready to die yet. But then I figured that perhaps I could sign other people up for the raffle, and then get my t-shirt from them if they win. So if any of you guys get calls from the military saying you won a t-shirt, it's because of me. You might also be signed up for the National Guard or some crazy shit like that. But at least I get a free shirt. Anyways, Sociology was a blur, in Print Journalism I took Chianakas' coffee maker down to the bathroom to clean it out. In case you didn't know, I am back on the coffee. I tried to quit for two weeks, but last weekend I decided that I would never be free of my caffeinated shackles and gave in to temptation. Thus far I've been able to limit most of my coffee to the weekends, although that fucking coffee-maker isn't helping. While I was cleaning it out, Chris Reagan walked into the bathroom. While he was on the toilet he and I struck up a conversation about how much we hate Mrs. Ronane. I bet the boys going in and out of the bathroom were really freaked out by a guy cleaning a coffee maker in the bathroom sink while talking to some kid taking a shit in the stall behind him. As for the coffee, it is delicious. I've been saying things like "Why did I ever quit" and such. However, I know exactly why I quit, which was because it was fucking up my life. Hopefully I'll be able to watch how much I take in...at least for a little while. I normally have lots of will-power, but for some reason I just can't shake the coffee. Perhaps I am destined to lead a life run by caffeine. Or as someone said to me earlier, "Seriously, it is going to kill you."
I filmed for the show after school, after which we all went to Jason's house and watched some Strangers With Candy. Then Mike, Jason, Norm, Jesse F, and I went to Cheddar's. There was a half hour wait, so we opted to go to Arby's instead. We saw the new Kevin Smith movie Jersey Girl at the Rave theater, which was a fantastic movie. It wasn't overly sappy like I thought it would be. Definitely the feel good movie of the year. After the movie it was Barnes and Noble, followed by Perkins. There was some coffee thrown in there somewhere, and now I am paying the price by being completely awake at 4 o'clock in the morning. I've spent most of the early morning listening to my new Jackson Browne CD. It rocks my socks off.
