The People VS. Joseph C. Fandel

Saw AVP tonight...ugggggh....it was so bad it was hilarious. I guess that's better than it being so bad it was awful. I got a Foto-Fun Strip with Maubauch and Jason though, so that was pretty cool I guess.

So it's been a fucking month since I got my ticket from officer shithead. I seriously can't believe that was a month ago. Time is just going by way too fast and frankly I'm sick of it. I wish I could go back in time with the knowledge I have now and tell that fucking pig to go get a real job. The other day my mom and I were driving across the bridge and one of those assholes was being all sneaky and catching speeders getting off the bridge. About twenty feet from where he was parked was a large concrete block, lying in the center of the road. Instead of getting this brick out of the goddamn road, which would probably help avoid a major accident and save lives, this man decided to give tickets to people who just wanted to get the fuck home and see their families or whatnot as soon as possible. I guess even worse than the brick were the murderers and serial rapists who were out at that very moment being murderers and serial rapists. Jesus, what's wrong with this country? And has anybody noticed that there are NO good movies anymore? I mean...there are good movies every now and then but way back in the day they would constantly pump out winners. The best movies are the ones where the directors can do whatever the hell they want. But then you have to try and sell artistic films with actual merit to people like my Mom, whose taste in movies is based solely on whether or not a dog is a leading character. She and Eric shut off Lord of the Rings because they said Gandalf and Bilbo were smoking weed. Then they said Kill Bill was the "worst movie ever made". Then they rented some straight-to-video piece of shit where a monkey was drafted into the NHL and another movie whose plot I don't even want to know about. My dad can never sit down and actually watch a movie. I think he has ADD.

But anyways back to my fucking ticket. I drove out to Bum-Fuck-Eureka on Tuesday to pay my fine at the courthouse. The circuit clerk was an extrememly nice lady, and she made it all that much better just by smiling. She asked me if I was pleading guilty to the ticket, to which I replied "Yes". Then I asked her if I could take a class to get it off my record and she said Woodford Country doesn't offer a class. However, I could apply for court supervision, which means I have to appear in court before a judge and pay some money or something. They scheduled my court appearance for two days after I start classes at Bradley. Thanks a lot. But it was pretty cool because they gave me this paper with the information about my court appearance, and at the top it reads THE PEOPLE VERSUS JOSEPH C. FANDEL. I thought that was awesome and it put a smile on my face. Then I conjured up a fantasy about being in a large Georgia courtroom during the 60's back when everyone had to fan themselves to stay cool, and having to defend a black man who just wanted a sandwich. I don't think my court appearance will be anything like that though. Aaron's leaving for college so I don't know any black people anymore. Lots of people are leaving for college. Shit.

I haven't felt good for a while now. I hope no one takes any of this personally, because that's not what I want at all. I really wanted to make everyone happy this summer and mend what needed fixing, but I guess I kinda failed at that. Can't win em all I s'pose...

It's 6:30 so I think I'm gonna call it a night...or day...or whatever. Goodnight people.
