You like it too?! Isn't that show amazing? I've watched it for eons. In all honesty, I've only watched a couple of the other ones (SVU, et al) and was never all that impressed. The original rocks, end of story. ;) I miss Lennie though. :( I mourn that man. You didn't like Fred? I did, but they've all been good. Adam was the best, next to Jack of course.
Yeah, this is the nights at the Alzheimer's place. It has some good things about it, but some bad ones too. The problem is long term care sucks and is considered by most, the bottom of the barrel. The only thing is that I love the elderly. Everyone worries, spends money on and cares for things like children and even animals, but the elderly are so unloved. These are people that have raised their children and sometimes their grandchildren, they've worked hard all their lives and have lived through all these wars and even the depression, and for what? To end up in a place where no one wants to care for them. It's VERY sad. I really do love working with them, they're my babies. It's just so hard when there is no money to do it with. Staffing is always a nightmare, the aids that are supposed to take care of them often don't. It's scary and very hard to deal with. The last center I worked wasn't like that, but many are.
I don't yet know how this place will be, but given their turnover rate, it makes me fear that they're bad too. Also, I need more than just part time. Anyway, we'll see how it goes. *crosses fingers*
