My head hurts
and it's not just because of being sick
I actually did a stupid thing by dvr'ing 'I want to be a Hilton' who the hell thought this was a good idea? Ow ow ow does my head hurt. I mean This is awful, this is awful awful awful.
BUT some things have happened in the last day or so.
My Stepsister had her daughter on Monday, Samantha Leigh..she's still in the hospital thanks to jaundice and waiting for a monitor of sorts (there's a history of sids in the family) and..as I mentioned before I had ordered myself some books from amazon..today the doorbell rang and I was exited when a amazon box came through. Opening it up however I was very surprised, and very touched to find the complete sherlock holmes book.
My father had gotten it for my birthday.
When I was little, and whenever it rained or I was sick, he would sit me in his big wingback chair and we'd read Sherlock. My father has a great reading voice and that was one of the greatest memories of my life with him, being small against his big size, and him reading me the stories.
I can't believe he actually did this. I had hoped for 'the civil war' but this is better..this is more personal.
