My mouse is on much the same thing -- though more likely to have about 4 20-minute naps during the day (AUGH!) and start fighting sleep around 7:30 p.m. Waking every 3 hrs at night recently, after a couple weeks of better than that. We've just agreed that we're going to try for a regularish 8 p.m. bedtime and see if we can not have him sleep with us so much (since he kicks us awake, and then more or less waking himself as well. Though sometimes I think he never fully wakes then...)
We're just not very routine-oriented ourselves, which doesn't help. My schedule and location is pretty different from day to day. I'm not sure we have to know what's right for them, so much as perhaps decide for them *grin* and see if that works... In my case, naps happen mostly while in car or in stroller than anywhere/when else. I really would like to change that, but how and still make it work with the rest of what the family needs? Still a work in progress...
And you know what? We're great moms, regardless of how well they nap. Anyone who thinks otherwise can just toddle off and have hot fudge sundaes until they come to their senses.
He's doing a bit better on the whole sleep thing, though I cracked on the CIO since he was not feeling good.
I just want him to go to bed to at a reasonable time, somewhere around 9-10. I think you read Julie's blog (a little pregnant) all that controversy and I'm going "I let him cry for 20 minutes" He doesn't vomit or poop himself and he's fed and changed and ok..he's just -pissed off-.
So am I scaring him? should I let him dictate his sleep schedule? will this damage his pysche? or am I teaching him he gets what he wants? God I hate all of this I wish that it was more clear.
