KUBA needs a new home!

~*Kuba needs a new home.  Kuba is not my kitty anymore, but he was for about 10 years.  He is living now with my friend, Rebecca.  Actually, to clarify--he is living at her business, in an office in the warehouse, where she operates her business, which is an interior landscaping design business.  The warehouse is filled with real and silk plants, and he has the run of the whole place.  He mostly hangs out in the office, where he has his own sofa and is incredibly spoiled by everyone who works there.  The office manager, Sarah is in love with him, and he gets fed, brushed and loved every day. (she can't take him home though, b/c her boyfriend lives with her now, and he has a german shepherd who does not get along with cats)  They even come in on the weekends for him.  When Kuba was my kitty, he was very spoiled as well.  He is, and always will be my favorite kitty. He just has the best personality and he is so sweet and funny.  You would think I was talking about an ex-boyfriend or a person, by the way I write about him, but he really is a cat. 100% feline.  A little background:  When Paul and I moved out to Australia a few years ago, he would have had to be in quarantine for 6 months, in order for me to bring him with us.  I couldn't bare it, so I asked everyone I knew if they could take him.  My friend, Rebecca, came through.  She would report on how was was doing, and keep me informed, which was great.  I was soooooooo attached to this cat, it wasn't funny.  I had MAJOR separation anxiety when we moved away, and did not want another cat.  Paul was the one who talked me into getting Kirby, when we were there in Australia (Georgie was my idea), and that was only after we found out that we could bring Kirbs back to the US with no problems (or quarrantines).  Anyway, when we moved back to the US, Rebecca asked us if we wanted to take Kuba back, and I did not have the heart to do that to her, as she had become so attached to him.  I wanted him back, but then we did already have Georgie and Kirby at this point anyway.  I said that she should keep him, since she was his new mommy.   So now the story is that Kuba needs a new home, because Rebecca's sister is moving up to San Jose to work for her, and she is allergic to cats!!   I was very distressed to find this out, but still I appreciate her asking me if I can help to find him a good home.  I want to take him so badly, but I don't know if we can, because: a) we already have a dog, a cat, and a baby--one more cat will be a challenge in this house, and plus b) Paul is allergic to cats (he tolerates Kirby with allergy pills), and c) I don't know if we can do this, but we are going to talk about it tonight.   So I have already called my sister, and my ex-boyfriend, who LOVES Kuba (maybe more than he loved me) to plead my case.  I don't know though.  John (the ex) is living with his girlfriend and already has her 2 cats, and my sister does not want a cat right now. UGH.  If any of you LJ people living in either North or Southern CA know someone, or have any ideas, I would be forever grateful.  This cat can't go to some random home.  I can't let it happen.  He is the raddest cat ever, and he needs to be in a good home.  He is about 13 years old, and he is very healthy (ok, so he's fat, but it only adds to his cuteness).  He will love the hell out of you.  I would not ask unless I was desperate.  Thanks for anything anyone can do. ~*

Kuba looking like his sexy little kitty self.  Look at that face--how can you not love him?
